This sketch started as an anatomy exercise and along the way it became something else. A note about Galadriel from Unfinished Tales brought to mind the athletic competitions of the Eldar back in Aman, and I tried to imagine what they would be like and if all the "cousins" (the sons of Fëanor, Fingolfin and Finarfin) would compete against each other. So, before I knew, I was thinking of Maedhros and Fingon and Aegnor. Needless to say, Fingon would for sure enter the archery competition :) and I think javelin would be something Maedhros and Aegnor could be good at.
And yes, Maedhros is tall... very tall ;)
Note - bare torsos? Chances are Tolkien envisioned his Eldar wearing short and comfy tunics when practising sports/competing, but since this started as an anatomy exercise I thought it was a pity to cover all their gorgeous nudity, so bare torsos it is! ;)

Hopefully I will have some free time soon to add some colour.

Fingon rocks :D And demands colour ;) I imagine they would have even less on them, especially while running or wrestling and martial arts combats. That description of Galadriel made me think of it, either, also her competing with boys. Happy Aman times :)

I think tunics are a bit uncomfortable for sports, this is way better!
Awesome idea and poses (... does Noldor really use tunics? I had never imagined them with it... maybe, sometimes, Finarfin?)

Beautiful! Your Maedhros has always been my favourite version of him, and the most befitting to my own mental image :) Fingon's slightly cheeky expression made me laugh! He's funny :) and I'm curious about your interpretation of Aegnor famous " flamboyant " hair... What about it? It is quite a difficult interpretation to come up with...
