My first work with Zbrush. I started with a free head I downloaded for practice and then sculpted away until I got it to match my mental picture of Fingolfin, High King of the Noldor.
It will probably be used in "The Fall of Fingolfin" - a stop-motion short film.

You can follow the project here - [link] :D

I still have loads to learn about Zbrush (there are plenty of mistakes I know I've made), but I can already say it's so much fun and really addictive ;)

Well done :D I've tried to do one with Sculptris but never finished. Still plan to sculpt a few heads for reference. Here you could add 3/4 profile to the est. I love his cheek bones visible in profile view.

Ahahahaha, have you seen this? [link] OMG, if I had that Maedhros' bust handy :XD: Love this idea, but I didn't know till now that there are such printers accessible outside universities and high tech industry.

As far as I know it's hard to find places to do 3D prints, and they are usually very expensive. But, anyway, it looks amazing :D
Hopefully it will get cheaper as it 3D printing becomes more popular.

Yes, I just checked prices, it's not cheap at all right now. But the opportunity itself great

Thank you for the 3/4! I don't think I'll get into sculpting anytime soon, too many other ideas. Quickies are here [link] That's all I did from a ball with which you start in Sculptris, the "monster" was the easiest thing.

Sweet work!

Hope you'll also post the color version of this---yeah, I know brick-red is a color, but you know what I mean--once you've got it all settled in your mind.
